This year, too, new records were celebrated at the kick-off party. The Fred Tschanz companies prove that success is no coincidence. But how do you manage to continuously set new records?
The Fred Tschanz Group's annual kick-off party provides the perfect setting to celebrate successes and start the new year with renewed energy. Upon arrival at the Fischerstube on Lake Zurich on January 24, 2026, there was already a special atmosphere in the air. The evening began with a review of a historic year in 2025: all sales records were broken. “When we presented the results of the individual teams, everyone was thrilled. Last year was already unforgettable, but this was even better,” says CEO Domenic Zembrod happily.
To understand why Fred Tschanz companies break new records year after year, you have to take a closer look. A key factor in this success is the employees who shape everyday life. 2025 marks a special year in this regard: “With employee satisfaction at 87 percent , we recorded the highest figure in our history to date and are thus well above the industry average,” says Zembrod.
Satisfaction also has a long-term effect. Many employees remain loyal to the company for years. This loyalty is consciously valued. The payment of the loyalty bonus – in the form of money, vacation days, or a ZVV subscription – is an integral part of the kick-off party. The consistent promotion of internal talent has also had a clear impact: “For several years now, all management positions have been filled with internal talent or via personal networks – without a single job advertisement.”
A pleasant corporate culture does not remain without effect on the outside world. Satisfied employees carry the positive mood into their everyday work – and pass it on directly to guests. The rising ratings and guest reviews, most of which are at an all-time high, reflect how this experience is perceived. This interplay between satisfied employees and happy guests is reflected in economic success – both at Fred Hotels and at Hotel Zürcherhof and ODEON.
Once again this year, resident DJ Bernie provided the perfect ending to the evening. With his knack for picking the right songs, the dance floor was quickly filled. Fortified with a midnight snack, the celebrations continued long into the night. It was not until around 11 p.m. that an evening came to an end that epitomized what the Fred Tschanz companies stand for: solidarity, commitment, and the joy of shared success.
